When you book a hotel do you use a hotel booking site, such as Hilton’s official site, or do you use a hotel booking search site which lists hundreds (if not thousands) of hotels?
I tend to use both. If, for example, I’m going to a destination I’ve been to in the past I will probably rebook in the hotel I stayed in previously.
If I’m going to a new destination, however, I often check the likes of booking.com or one of the other sites to see what kind of deals I can get.
How about you?

For me it’s mostly for pleasure so money / cost factors into things greatly for me. Good value / friendly place = a must have …
The only bad experience I can thing of was in Hyde Park in London … but it was cheap and london is expensive .. we lived but won’t be going back.
Generally I’ll try the booking sites / cheap offers first and then go with something I know … for the most part I don’t know too many places / hotels so it’s onto trip advisor or similar ot find out what the story is 🙂

Which hotel in Hyde Park did you stay in?
London hotels seem to be very hit and miss. I’ve stayed in some that were lovely, while others were pretty awful (one didn’t even have a window in the room!)
I travel mostly for business, so I’m usually looking for some specific things, such as proximity to the venue etc.,
